History of NO research

 

 

The G-NO Plasma treatment is a highly effective method based on the action of exogenous nitric oxide and air plasma.

 

 

Nitric Oxide Research Studies

Studies in medicine are based on the discovery of Robert Francis Furchgott, a biochemist, who in 1978 proved that our cells produce nitric oxide, whose prolonged low concentration is responsible for pathological processes in our organism. Its production decreases after reaching 25 years of life and declines rapidly after 40.

 

The 1998 Nobel Prize for Physiology and Medicine was awarded to three American scientists
- Furchgott, Louis Ingar and Ferid Murad.

They discovered that nitric oxide, NO, a short-lived, endogenously produced gas in the body, acts as an important signalling molecule throughout the cardiovascular system. They made this discovery while investigating the principle of the mechanism of action of nitrovasodilators, a relatively long-known group of drugs.
 
Nitric oxide freely permeates through the cell membranes, thus ensuring the transfer of information among cells and regulating cell function throughout the human organism, and if the nitric oxide level in an organism is low, the transfer of information among cells is limited, which in the case of signalling information of an immunological nature can mean improper cell functionality. This new, previously unknown principle of signal transmission
among cells has created a wide spectrum of new possibilities 
for the prevention, diagnosis and effective treatment of a wide spectrum of diseases. 



 
Development of the G-NO Plasma Therapeutic Device
 
Since 2015, GNO-Plasma s.r.o. has been actively developing, certifying and clinically testing independent, unique devices that can bring effective treatment to a wide range of patients, even without the need to visit a medical facility. In 2021, we introduced  prístroj G-NO PLASMA S50, which is designed for home use after patient training.
 
We also focused on the treatment of the most serious diagnoses which cannot be done without the professional application of G-NO plasma, and in 2022 we introduced the ALMENO PLASMA G-NO 70 device to the expert public.
